* The front squat is a good lift to do because you are carrying the weight on the front of your body, just as you would in martial arts, MMA and other sports. For example, when you are moving a body, throwing a punch or slamming an opponent, usually the weight is focused on the front of your body.
* There are two grips that you can use to hold the bar. The first in the cross grip and the two-finger grip. The two-finger grip will give you more stability but may be difficult if you lack flexibility.
* As you squat, concentrate the weight in your heels rather than the balls of your feet. Keep your shoulders and head upright.
* Squat down until your hips are level with your knee joint. Keep your back straight and make sure the bar is resting across your deltoids and that your elbows are up.
