This is a very interesting vintage demonstration of the Japanese art in the early twentieth century performed in England and featuring a woman defending herself against two attackers. The commentary clearly portrays women as the 'weaker sex', indicative of the period at which it was made, but nevertheless, the techniques are well presented and effective. The video also draws attention to the perception of how an attack would actually take place. The section on 'objectionable people' is also illuminating, giving a glimpse of the type of trouble makers commonly encountered in those days. One of the defenses in this part utilizes a pressure point attack to good effect.
