Megumi Fujii is a mixed martial artist hailing from Japan. She has an extensive background in grappling arts, including judo, sambo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She is noted for her ability to takedown opponents and submit them. For a long time she was regarded as being the top pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, and could be considered one of the top MMA fighters, male or female, anywhere. After maintaining an incredible record of 22 consecutive wins she only recently lost her first match in a shock split decision against Zoila Frausto in Bellator 34.
